Wildlife & land intelligence

Understand what is using your property.

Aerial observations help landowners and managers document wildlife distribution, habitat use, and property conditions over large or difficult terrain.

A clearer field picture

Professional surveys built around the land.

A drone can cover ground efficiently and provide a repeatable view that supports land-management decisions, habitat planning, and seasonal comparisons.

Potential deliverables

  • Observed animal counts and classifications when conditions allow
  • Mapped observation locations and distribution patterns
  • Visible or thermal still images and video
  • Survey-area notes, conditions, and flight summary
  • Branded PDF report with findings and limitations

Appropriate uses

Services are intended for lawful population observation, habitat documentation, livestock locating, land management, and similar non-hunting purposes. Results are observations or estimates and can be affected by vegetation, terrain, temperature, timing, animal movement, and sensor limitations.

Important wildlife restriction

RangeLine Aerial does not use drones to locate, pursue, harass, or communicate the real-time location of wildlife to aid the taking of game. Every project remains subject to applicable wildlife, property, privacy, and aviation rules.

Why wildlife and land surveys matter

Responsible land and habitat decisions depend on better information about where animals are observed, how they use a property, and how conditions change over time. Aerial surveys can cover large or difficult areas efficiently while creating a repeatable record for landowners and managers.

  • Better management information: observed counts and distribution patterns can support habitat, forage, and property planning.
  • Repeatable comparisons: consistent survey areas and conditions make seasonal or annual observations more useful.
  • Safer, lower-impact coverage: aerial observation can reduce unnecessary travel through difficult terrain when conducted responsibly.

Professional planning is essential because time of day, season, temperature, vegetation, terrain, sensor limitations, animal movement, and flight behavior can all affect observations.

State wildlife rules and responsible operation

RangeLine Aerial is aware that every state may regulate the use of drones for wildlife activity differently. Before accepting or performing a wildlife-related project, Jacob Hlavac reviews the applicable state wildlife rules, seasons, agency guidance, property requirements, and FAA operating requirements for that location and intended activity. Services are limited to lawful purposes and will not be performed when drone use is prohibited or would aid the taking, pursuit, harassment, or unlawful location of game.
